My first real ER visit.

Having a baby didn't count - that was planned.  And at a more reasonable hour. And less painful, on the average.

Bah.

I'd've gotten processed way the heck faster at the standalone ER out west, but we went to the Real Hospital figuring I was going to have surgery raht here, raht now, and as luck would have it they had been hopping since 1pm. I think the time from walking in the door to getting the WOO HYDROMORPHONE, NURSE WILL YOU MARRY ME? was close to two hours, and that was *with* leapfrogging me to pretty much the head of the line, ahead of everybody except the trauma case.
