Also officially no longer a Hoosier

Although I tend to think of myself as a roundball fan, apparently I no longer am, because I haven't watched any of the NCAA tournament. And to all appearances, I missed a *really* good game last night when the Jayhawks moved to the Final Four.

I've lived here more than a quarter century (officially old!) so I guess that means I'm finally over Hoosier Hysteria.

I blame Wichita State. We had season tickets one year (through Big Brothers/Big Sisters) and it was downright painful to watch. They've made a comeback (to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2006), but I think it put me off college ball.

I feel kind of hypocritical about Sunshine's Jayhawks license plate frame - it may say "Go Jayhawks," but what it really means is "We thought a plate frame would keep the durn thing from rattling so much, absolutely did not want to advertise Saturn Wichita unless it also said 'the dealership who thinks smearing gray epoxy all over the outside of the taillight AND onto the paint is a good way to fix a cracked taillight,' and we have in-laws who work at KU." But who's going to read all that at a stop light?

Guess I should just watch the game on Saturday. But they've been doing so well without me....
